Boil water advisory for Slidell neighborhood lifted

A Slidell neighborhood is no longer under a boil water advisory after a second incident involving a broken water main in the course of a week. All 10,000 Cross Gates Water System customers were asked to boil their water Thursday after a contractor hit a water main, causing the water system to lose pressure. The advisory was lifted Friday for most residents for the exception of of 113, 118 Ayshire Ct; 201, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207 Leeds Dr., which are the homes that are nearest to the water main that was hit. This same neighborhood was under a boil water advisory last week when a contractor hit a water main last week.
