KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert for a missing man.
TBI officials said 83-year-old Alan James Meiers was last seen on Jan. 20, in Maryville wearing a green jacket with brown lining.
Officials also said Meiers has a medical condition that could impair his ability to return safely without assistance.
Additionally, Meiers could be traveling toward Antioch, Tennessee, in a dark gray or silver 2022 Toyota Tacoma with a Tennessee temporary tag.
Meiers is described as being 6′1″ and 225 pounds with gray hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information regarding Meiers’ whereabouts was asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office at 423-442-4357 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
