Myriad Uranium Explores Potential of Copper Mountain Uranium Project

Myriad Uranium Corp. recently conducted a site visit to the Copper Mountain Uranium Project in Wyoming, USA, with promising results. The project, which saw significant exploration and development expenditure by Union Pacific in the 1970s, has the potential to become a major uranium resource.

During the site visit, Thomas Lamb, CEO of Myriad Uranium, and George van der Walt, a Qualified Person and member of the Company’s Technical Committee, confirmed the accuracy of important historical drill hole locations. This confirmation will enable more efficient confirmation of the historical resource estimates.

The Copper Mountain Uranium Project, which underwent US$78 million worth of exploration and development expenditure, includes 7 uranium deposits and numerous prospects. Union Pacific’s drilling efforts resulted in the development of a 6-pit mine plan focused on the Canning Deposit, with estimated historical resources ranging from 15.7 to 30.1 million pounds of uranium.

Myriad Uranium intends to bring these historical estimates current under NI 43-101 and potentially surpass them. The company plans to initially focus on the ‘High Grade Zone’ of the Canning Deposit, which hosts the largest estimated historical resources at Copper Mountain.

The recent site visit also included an inspection of the terrain and site access, a visit to the past-producing Arrowhead Uranium Mine, and engagement with potential contractors. These activities were conducted in preparation for upcoming geophysics, drilling, and other field activities.

The historical estimates at Copper Mountain are decades old and not yet current under National Instrument 43-101. Myriad Uranium acknowledges the inherent limitations of these estimates, including the reliance on drilling data for which the logs are predominantly unavailable. To verify and potentially re-state the historical estimates as current resources, a program of digitization, re-logging, and/or re-drilling is required.

George van der Walt, a Qualified Person and member of the Company’s Technical Committee, expressed optimism about the site visit’s outcomes. The ability to locate historic borehole positions on the ground at Copper Mountain will significantly enhance future planning and targeting of drilling activities.

Myriad Uranium Corp. is a uranium exploration company with an earnable 75% interest in the Copper Mountain Uranium Project. The company also holds interests in the Millen Mountain Property in Nova Scotia, Canada, and uranium exploration licenses in Niger. With the potential of the Copper Mountain Uranium Project and ongoing exploration efforts, Myriad Uranium is well-positioned in the uranium sector.
