Some technical glitch has led Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) to further delayed opening of the commodity markets to 11am on February 13, instead of the 10am schedule earlier, CNBC reported, adding that a tech team was working to resolve the issue.

Earlier, Zerodha and Upstox reported in their twitter handle that the opening of MCX delayed to 10am from 9am because of the technical glitch.

According to a news report, MCX issued a circular saying trading hours for the commodity derivatives segment for February 13, 2024 have been revised from 9am to 10am. “Due to operational delays at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the commodity markets will open at 10am today,” Zerodha said in its twitter handle.

Meanwhile, markets traded marginally higher with the Sensex up 0.2 percent to 71,191 points.

Shrey Jain, Founder & CEO, SAS Online on MCX said brokers are awaiting position, margin and trade files from MCX without which processing of previous trading session is pending. Once files are received we will do the Beginning of Day process and prepare the system for today’s trading.
