Kazakhstan plans to extend ban on liquefied petroleum gas export for another 6 months

AKIPRESS.COM – The authorities of Kazakhstan plan to extend the ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas from the territory of the country for another 6 months, which was introduced in May, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.

The measures are aimed at supplying domestic market. There are exceptions in several cases:

– export by subsoil users carrying out production within the framework of the agreement on sharing of products or contract of subsoil use approved by the President of Kazakhstan;

– export of goods produced or processed from Kazakhstan’ raw materials extracted at the Karachaganak fiel, on the basis of international treaties of Kazakhstan;

– transits that begin and end outside of Kazakhstan.

If the draft order is approved, the ban will be effective from November 14.
