May 21 (SeeNews) – The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange ended lower on Tuesday, while luxury clothing producer Varteks [ZSE:VART], which is not part of them, plunged after its shareholders approved a plan to delist all of shares, bourse data showed.
The 21-share benchmark, the CROBEX, dipped 0.13% to 2,828.07 points, halting a six-day win streak.
The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, went down 0.39% to 1,700.01 points.
In regular trading, preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] generated the biggest daily turnover, 218,000 euro ($237,000), ending flat at 61 euro. Besides, in a 304,000 euro block deal, 5,000 of them changed hands at a price of 60.80 euro per share.
Among the other blue-chips, shares of Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] lost 0.32% to 31 euro in a turnover of 61,400 euro. Shares of food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] fell 0.95% to 156.50 euro in a turnover of 53,000 euro.
Shares of Varteks dropped 11.11% to 0.16 euro in a turnover of 1,727 stocks.
The total bourse turnover went down to 1.4 million euro from 1.5 million euro a day earlier.
