Bedford Metals Corp. Begins Prospecting Program at Ubiquity Lake Uranium Project

Bedford Metals Corp. is excited to announce the commencement of its 2024 inaugural prospecting program at the Ubiquity Lake Uranium Project in Northern Saskatchewan. The field crew has been deployed to conduct prospecting activities, focusing on mapping historic showings and high-value target zones identified through previous prospecting and geophysical programs.

The survey will cover the entire claim block using state-of-the-art RS100 scintillometers to establish a baseline and investigate radioactive target zones. One of the main targets is UL2014, where a 2014 prospecting and grab rock sampling program yielded promising results, including values of 187 ppm U and 449 ppm Th from pegmatitic quartz-rich zones in a granite gneiss outcrop.

Additionally, the field crew will prospect Target Zones 1 and 2 (T1 and T2), which are high-priority anomalies identified through geophysical datasets interpretation by Condor Consulting. These target zones have shown great potential for uranium mineralization.

Bedford Metals Corp. is pursuing an exploration model similar to successful projects like Fission’s Patterson Lake South Deposit and NexGen’s Arrow Deposit, which are shear-hosted basement deposits with continuity at depth. The company believes that the Ubiquity Lake Uranium Project, located near the southern lip of the Athabasca Basin, holds significant potential for uranium deposits.

Bedford Metals Corp. is committed to conducting all exploration activities with a focus on environmental responsibility. The company prioritizes minimizing its environmental footprint and ensuring sustainable and responsible operations. Furthermore, Bedford values its relationships with local communities and indigenous groups and is dedicated to working collaboratively with these stakeholders to bring positive benefits to the region.

Dr. Peter Born, President of Bedford Metals Corp., expressed his excitement about the prospecting program, stating, ‘The historic data combined with our recent geophysical interpretations suggest significant potential for uranium mineralization. With the necessary permits now in hand, our field team is eager to validate these targets and advance our understanding of the project’s geology.’

Bedford Metals Corp. is a mineral exploration company focused on identifying and developing highly prospective mineral exploration opportunities. The company’s strategy is to advance projects from discovery to production. The Ubiquity Lake Uranium Project, covering 1382 hectares, lies just south of the bottom lip of the Athabasca Basin and holds immense potential. With its commitment to environmental responsibility and community collaboration, Bedford Metals Corp. is well-positioned to make positive contributions to the region’s mineral exploration sector.
