Zagreb bourse main indices end mixed, Podravka shines | Croatia News


The 21-share equity benchmark, the CROBEX, declined 0.19% to close at 2,823.84 points.

The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.11% to finish at 1,688.89 points.

The total on-exchange turnover reached 7.7 million euro ($8.3 million), up from 1.6 million euro a day earlier. The regular turnover rose to 6.9 million euro from just 525,000 euro on Tuesday.

Food and pharmaceuticals manufacturer Podravka was the most traded company with a turnover of 3.1 million euro. Its shares rose 1.58% to 161 euro on the news that its Slovenian subsidiary Zito has upgraded its bakery facility in Maribor, following a 9.0 million euro investment in capacity expansion and automatisation.

Consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] ranked second by turnover with 324,300 euro as its shares fell 2.73% to close at 53.50 euro in regular trading. Besides, in a block trading 5,000 of its shares changed hands at a price of 54.50 euro apiece in a turnover of 272,500 euro.

One more block deal, worth 520,000 euro, took place as 2,000 shares of electrical concern Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] were traded at a price of 260 euro per share.
