Water advisory for Pleasant Hill will likely extend into next week


The city of Pleasant Hill is making progress after the city declared a water emergency Thursday morning. City crews have located and isolated a water main break on the south side of the water system. This caused an increase in water velocity, leading to additional main breaks to the north. City officials say the south main break has been contained, and repair work is ongoing. A water advisory is in effect until further notice and could extend early into next week due to regulatory requirements. Pleasant Hill residents and Public Water District No. 1 customers are urged to conserve water and use it for essential purposes only. While the boil advisory may last longer, water use restrictions could be lifted sooner based on tower gains. A water pick-up location at Pleasant Hill Pool Parking is open daily through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., providing water based on household size. Homebound individuals can request water delivery using a form provided.
