Squirrel causes power outage at Portland Jetport

The outage disrupted flights early Sunday morning.

A power outage Sunday morning knocked out power to about 650 customers, including the Portland International Jetport.Maine’s Total Coverage heard from several viewers about the issue, and Jetport officials confirmed the outage, saying the outage disrupted some flights that were boarding. Central Maine Power said the outage was reported at about 6:45 and lasted an hour. CMP officials blamed the outage on a squirrel.Officials said once the power was back on, the Jetport returned to normal operations.
