POWAY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Thousands of San Diego Gas & Electric customers were reported to be without power Wednesday morning due to outages.
The earliest outage was reported at 8:29 a.m. in the North County communities of Poway, Rancho Peñasquitos, Rancho Bernardo and San Pasqual, according to SDG&E’s outage map. As of 9:15 a.m., a total of 3,870 customers remained without service in these communities.
Meanwhile, a smaller outage impacted residents in the San Diego areas of University Heights, North Park and Normal Heights. Only 150 customers were reported be without lights in these communities.
Power has since been restored to all customers.
The cause for the outages has not been determined at this time. The gas and electric company is assessing the issue.
