Reported power outages in Miami Valley now at 697 – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio


MIAMI VALLEY — UPDATE @ 1:53 a.m.:

An estimated 697 outages have been reported in the Miami Valley

AES Ohio is reporting that 624 customers are experiencing power outages. First Energy is now reporting 73 outages in Clark County.

The estimated power outages have dropped to 125.

UPDATE @ 1:19 a.m.:

AES Ohio is reporting 84 outages and First Energy is reporting 41 outages in Clark County.

UPDATE @ 12:40 a.m.:

An estimated 484 outages have been reported across the Miami Valley.

AES Ohio is now reporting that 443 customers are without power.

First Energy is reporting 41 customers without service in Clark County.

UPDATE @ 10:30 p.m.:

An estimated 197 outages are currently being reported across parts of the Miami Valley.

As of 10:30 p.m. p.m., AES Ohio is reporting that 157 customers are experiencing outages. First Energy is reporting 47 customers without service in Clark County.

AES Ohio shared on social media that the primary cause of the outages is weather, “primarily strong wind gusts.”

  • Champaign County: 1
  • Clark 47
  • Clinton County: 1
  • Darke County: 1
  • Greene County: 32
  • Logan County: 5
  • Mercer County: 3
  • Montgomery County: 20
  • Preble County: 82
  • Warren County: 1

“Crews are working to restore power quickly and safely,” AES Ohio wrote on social media.
