ALYSSA WHAT? WHAT ARE YOU SEEING NOW? YEAH. JOHN. WELL, DRIVING DOWN JEFFERSON STREET, WE SAW A TON OF TREES DOWN. AND WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING AT BEHIND ME IS A GARAGE THAT IS SUSTAINED A LOT OF DAMAGE ON DEWEY STREET. NOW, WE SPOKE TO THE FAMILY WHO OWNS THIS GARAGE. EVERYONE IS SAFE IN. OKAY. THEIR HOUSE DIDN’T SUSTAIN A LOT OF DAMAGE, BUT THEY’RE STILL WAKING UP TO A BIG MESS. THEY HEARD A HUGE SNAP AFTER THEY HEARD THE TORNADO SIRENS LAST NIGHT AROUND 1:00, AND THEY HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP SINCE. THEY’RE JUST WAITING FOR THE SUN TO COME UP TO SEE THE EXTENT OF THIS DAMAGE. THEIR CARS ARE COVERED. THIS TREE YOU’RE SEEING RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF DEWEY STREET ALSO TOOK DOWN A FAMILY TREE HOUSE WITH IT. TREES. MORE THAN 100 YEARS OLD, AND WE SPOKE TO A POLICE OFFICER THIS MORNING WHO SAID THEY’RE STILL WORKING TO GET POWER TO ABOUT HALF A DOZEN TO A DOZEN HOUSES, BUT FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE HOUSES, THEY HAVE RESTORED POWER. YOU CAN SEE CREWS ARE ALREADY OUT HERE WORKING TO GET THOSE POWER LINES UP. HOPEFULLY THEN PUBLIC WORKS WILL BE OUT HERE TO GET THESE TREES CHOPPED UP. HOPEFULLY HAVE THIS FAMILY START PICKING UP THE PIECES OF WHAT THIS STORM LEFT BEHIND. LIVE IN PR
