May 8 (SeeNews) – The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange declined on Wednesday, for a second day in a row, on losses in Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] and electrical concern Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI], bourse data showed.
The 21-share benchmark, the CROBEX, closed at 2,799.32 points, down 0.40%.
The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, fell 0.46% to 1,695.65 points.
In regular trading, Hrvatski Telekom was the most traded company with a turnover of 345,000 euro ($371,000), as its shares fell 0.33% to 30.60 euro.
The only other company with a turnover above the 100,000 euro mark was ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT]. Its shares ended flat at 203 euro in a turnover of 118,300 euro.
Among the blue chips, index heavyweight Koncar shed 1.50%, hotel owner and manager Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] fell 0.79%, and software developer SPAN [ZSE:SPAN] declined 2.0%.
The total bourse turnover reached 4.5 million euro, from just 631,500 euro on Tuesday. It was lifted by a 2.7 million euro block deal with preferred shares of insurer Croatia Osiguranje [ZSE:CROS2], a 607,000 euro block trading with shares of Istarska Kreditna Banka [ZSE:IKBA] and a 274,000 euro block trading with shares of SPAN.
