Day Center moves to Silver Lake Station

“With just a few building modifications, the Silver Lake Station is now able to serve those who need it during this ongoing pandemic,” Rochester Public Library Director Audrey Betcher said.

Federal CARES Act funding helped the city renovate the building, and will also cover operational costs for the next six months.

“As this health crisis continues to worsen, we need to make sure everyone in our community has a safe place to be with access to basic needs,” Betcher said.

The day center will operate every day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The address for the day center is 702 W. Silver Lake Drive NE.

Services will still be offered at the Salvation Army from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.Monday through Friday. Overnight shelter will continue to be provided by Catholic Charities at the Rochester Community Warming Center, 200 4th Street SE and Dorothy Day Hospitality House, 703 1st St SW.
