Dow Futures Fall; JPMorgan, BofA and Wells Fargo Report Earnings — Live Updates


Elsewhere, a climb in oil prices and energy shares is in focus for investors, after a U.S.-led coalition launched strikes on Houthi rebel targets in Yemen. Brent crude futures rose to around $79 a barrel.

Stock futures ticked down, weighed down by big premarket declines in shares of companies including Delta Air Lines and UnitedHealth Group, both of which reported results Friday. Contracts tied to the Dow industrials led the losses.

Oil prices rose. Benchmark U.S. futures added more than 2%.

Bitcoin fell below $46,000, erasing gains generated after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved bitcoin ETFs that make buying the cryptocurrency as easy as stocks.

The 10-year Treasury yield moved lower after the U.S. producer-price index for December came in lower than expected. The yield recently traded around 3.955%.

Overseas, the Stoxx Europe 600 climbed. In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei 225 continued its recent rally, rising 1.5%.
