Lyashko noted that there is a tense situation with the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine – almost the entire territory of the country is in the “orange” zone of epidemiological danger, about 200 regions are in the “red” zone.

“In the near future, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will vote for the introduction of weekend quarantine. We will do everything possible to save the healthcare system from collapse and not stop our economy,” Lyashko said.

As we reported earlier, chief sanitary doctor Viktor Lyashko stated that Ukraine was moving to the second stage of responding to coronavirus infection.

According to the sanitary doctor, the Ministry of Health continues to deploy and increase the number of beds for coronavirus-infected people in the country’s medical institutions.

I would like to emphasize once again that all scheduled surgeries and scheduled hospitalizations are prohibited in our hospitals starting from Monday. Hospitals will accept only urgent patients and patients with coronavirus disease. The situation is extremely tense at this moment,” the official said.
