‘I just can’t follow it’: Senate GOP leader Chuck Grassley slams House

The House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry looking into potentially bringing charges against President Joe Biden just got some harsh criticism from top Senate Republican Chuck Grassley.

Igor Bobic, senior politics reporter at HuffPost, reported on Wednesday that Grassley is simply “not paying attention to the House GOP impeachment probe.” Last year, Raw Story reported that Grassley admitted that the GOP didn’t care if accusations against “Vice President Biden” were true or not.

Now, it appears that Grassley might be losing his passion for the impeachment project that his House colleagues are championing.

“I think I got a pretty good reputation for oversight here in the Senate. And the House…I just can’t follow it, you know?” Grassley said, according to Bobic on Wednesday.

Jake Sherman, founder of Punchbowl News, added that James Comer has been “dismissive” of similar reports from the outlet that suggest Republicans themselves don’t know where their efforts will actually end up.

“Comer is dismissive of our reporting that republicans have no idea what the end game is/what’s going on,” Sherman said on Wednesday on social media. “But we hear it all the time.”
